This spring, MMLab partnered with the National Taiwan Library to organize a series of workshops on Augmented Reality Technologies for Special Patron Services. These workshops, through lectures and hands-on exercises, aimed to equip librarians with the knowledge and skills to use augmented reality (AR) technology in supporting library services for blind and low-vision patrons, thereby enhancing the accessibility and usability of the library resources for special patrons.

Starting in April, the workshop toured around Taiwan, hitting different public libraries in the North, Central, and South regions:

• 2024/05/23 at National Public Library of Information
• 2024/06/26 at Kaohsiung Public Library

這個春天，MMLab與國立臺灣圖書館合作，辦理全國圖書館員身心障礙服務專業工作坊。從四月下旬開始，我們到國立臺灣圖書館、國立公共資訊圖書館、高雄市立圖書館，透過演講與實作活動，分享研究室對擴增實境科技支援視障讀者的成果，也與來自學校圖書館、公共圖書館的館員交流經驗，共同發想並創造更多擴增實境科技應用在圖書館特殊讀者服務的可能性！
